O’CLOCK, dernier album de Pilah, en collaboration avec le chanteur Birdy Nixon, avait secoué le monde du Dub. Artiste rare, ses créations émeuvent toujours par leur singularité et leur caractère.
Cet album est aujourd’hui revisité, décortiqué façon remix par cinq artistes qui s’approprient les pistes de O’CLOCK, nous permettant de replonger dans l’univers de Pilah meets Birdy Nixon, une ambiance sombre et froide qui repousse les limites du genre.

Pilah’s latest album, O’CLOCK, in collaboration with singer Birdy Nixon, shook up the dub world. A rare artist, his creations always move with their singularity and character.
This album is now revisited, dissected in a remix style by five artists who take on the tracks from O’CLOCK, allowing us to dive back into the world of Pilah meets Birdy Nixon, a dark and cold atmosphere that pushes the boundaries of the genre.

Pilah a commencé sa carrière en tant que guitariste du groupe lyonnais Kaly Live Dub en 1995. Un des groupes pionniers du French Dub, avec de nombreuses tournées internationales à son actif.

Il fonde avec le selector Nineteen Dub, le mythique collectif Dub Addict Sound System en 2000, composé de plusieurs producteurs comme Anti Bypass, Boudou et Roots Massacre, ainsi que les chanteurs Joe Pilgrim et Learoy Green. Ils adaptent en live les méthodes de mixage normalement destinées au studio.

Pilah mixe en live ses propres productions et propose des sets rugueux mêlant reggae-dub incisif, manipulations électro DIY et les voix de plusieurs chanteurs tels que Rod Taylor, Echo Minott ou encore Shandi D.
Lors de son set live, il aime bousculer les normes et les genres, en combinant sonorités reggae, dubs corrosifs et arrangements soignés.

Il sort sa première production en 2005 avec Dub Addict Sound System pour la série discographique S.O.U.N.D, et depuis, enchaîne sur plusieurs labels, tels que Jarring Effects, Hammerbass, Sounds Around et dernièrement, présente son nouvel album intitulé O’CLOCK en collaboration avec Bat Records.

Pilah started his carreer as guitarist in Kaly Live Dub, a band from Lyon, in 1995.
Pioneer of the french dub, Kaly Live dub made a lot of international tours.

He founded in 2000 the well known Dub Addict Sound System with the selector Nineteen Dub in 2000. This Collective gather other producers like Anti Bypass, Boudou, Roots Massacre, and singer like Joe Pilgrm and Learoy Green. They adapt studio mixing method to the live.

Pilah mixes live his own productions and offer some rough sets of sharp reggae-dub, DIY manipulations, with voices of singers like Rod Taylor, Echo Minott or Shanti D.
During his live sessions, he likes to snake up norms and standards, combining reggae sounds to corrosive dub and neat arrangements.

He released his first production in 2005 with Dub Addict Sound Sytem for the S.O.U.N.D 12” serie. Since then, he collaborated with many labels, like Jarring Effect, Hammerbass or Sound Around. Today, he presents his new album O’CLOCK with Bat Records.
