A Dub Album !
Night and Day tourne encore dans votre playlist que Dub Shepherds annonce déjà un nouvel album ? Quel est donc ce maléfice ? Un Album Dub ?
Si l’on remonte à la genèse du groupe, Dr Charty et Jolly Joseph ont commencé à bidouiller leur console, leurs reverbs et leurs échos dans un but très précis : faire du dub. 4 albums plus tard, du dub ils en ont fait, et de très bonne facture, chaque chanson s’est vue accompagnées de sa ou ses versions dub. Leur hardmix a fait son chemin et les distingue aujourd’hui dans le paysage musical. Mais un album dub, stricly dub, ils en rêvaient. Difficile de trouver la place pour ce genre d’ovni lorsqu’on est un duo avec un chanteur. Tout vient à point à qui sait attendre…

Tape Me Out…
On a vu Dub Shepherds à l’œuvre sur une série de vidéos dans leur studio intitulé “Tape Me Out”, où ils nous régalaient de quelques alternate mix de leurs productions en cours et à venir. Volume 1, 2, 3, 4. L’énergie et la générosité du duo chez eux, à Bat Records, du mix en live, du dub. Un plaisir pour les deux compères, à n’en pas douter, du plaisir aussi pour les auditeurs amateurs de hardmix !

… Vol 5 !
C’est en réécoutant le cru de la “Tape Me Out vol. 5” que les deux dubbers ont compris l’évidence. L’album Dub ! Là sous leur yeux, sur la bande, filmé, joué Live ! 11 dubs one shot, 11 inédits exhumés des archives fumeuses de Bat Records, un album Dub (enfin!) à l’image de leurs créateurs : franc et chaleureux, Ruff and stylee !

If we go back to the genesis of the group, Dr Charty and Jolly Joseph started tinkering with their console, their reverbs and their echoes with a very specific goal: to make dub. 4 albums later, they made some dub, and very well done, each song was accompanied by its dub version(s). Their hardmix has made its way and distinguishes them today in the musical landscape. But a dub album, strictly dub, they dreamed of it. It’s difficult to find room for this kind of UFO when you’re in a duo with a singer. Good things come to those who wait…

Tap Me Out…
We saw Dub Shepherds at work on a series of videos in their studio entitled “Tape Me Out”, where they treated us to some alternate mixes of their current and upcoming productions. Volume 1, 2, 3, 4. The energy and generosity of the duo at home, at Bat Records, live mixing, dub. A pleasure for the two friends, without a doubt, a pleasure also for listeners who love hardmix!

… Vol 5!
It’s by listening again to the vintage of “Tape Me Out vol. 5” that both dubbers understood the obvious. The Dub album! There before their eyes, on tape, filmed, performed Live ! 11 one shot dubs, 11 unreleased tracks unearthed from the smoky archives of Bat Records, a Dub album (finally!) in the image of their creators: frank and warm, Ruff and stylee !
