La première fois que nous avons découvert la voix d’Emanuel, c’était lors de la réalisation de l’album Soul Medicine de Pinnacle Sound ( BAT 007), c’était en 2021. Certaines gifles laissent une marque profonde et indélébile. Nous savions alors qu’une nouvelle aventure était sur le point de naître. Tout vient à point à qui sait attendre, et ce qui devait arriver arriva : Emanuel sollicita Bat Records pour la réalisation de son nouveau projet. Nations Shall Know est le fruit de cette rencontre.Emanuel & The Bionites sont les multiples facettes d’un seul homme. Producteur appliqué, c’est avec une sélection de ses meilleures compositions qu’il frappe à la porte de Bat Records pour poser sur bande son style unique. L’idée est claire, produire un album Showcase : pour chaque vocal, un dub mixé par le duo phare Dub Shepherds.D’une chanson pour enfant à la puissance soul en introduction sur le “Arkitect“, à l’Afrique comme thème central sur “Imansion“, au pur chant de louange sur le “Jah Love“, en passant par des riddim chaleureux portant des textes aux résonnances apocalyptiques comme sur le titre “Nations Shall Know“, il y en aura pour tous les goûts.
Et en discomix, Messieurs Dames, suivant le format préféré d’Emanuel !Dernière illustration d’une figure montante d’un renouveau Roots certain en Europe, cet album saura réconcilier jeunes dubbers zélés et vieux routards du reggae.

The first time we discovered Emanuel‘s voice was during the making of Pinnacle Sound‘s album Soul Medicine (BAT 007), it was in 2021. Some slaps leave a deep and indelible mark. We knew then that a new adventure was about to be born. Everything comes in time to those who wait, and what was supposed to happen happened: Emanuel contacted Bat Records for the realization of his new project. Nations Shall Know is the fruit of this meeting.Emanuel & The Bionites are the many facets of one man. A diligent producer, it is with a selection of his best compositions that he knocks on the door of Bat Records to put his unique style on tape. The idea is clear, to produce a Showcase album: for each vocal, a dub mixed by the flagship duo Dub Shepherds.From a children’s song with soulful power in the introduction to “Arkitect“, to Africa as the central theme on “Imansion“, to the pure song of praise on “Jah Love“, through warm riddims carrying texts with apocalyptic resonances like on the title “Nations Shall Know”, there will be something for everyone.
And in discomix, ladies and gentlemen, following Emanuel‘s favorite format!Latest illustration of a rising figure of a certain Roots revival in Europe, this album will reconcile young zealous dubbers and old reggae backpackers.

Emanuel and the Bionites ride un riddim de Ikadub et encore une fois le chanteur signe une performance de haute volée. Après avoir signé les excellents Menorah et Psalm 2 sur le roots de Pinnacle Sound (Soul Medicine – bat 007), le voilà sur le digital chaloupé de Ikadub, et démontre là encore l’étendue de son talent. Et ce n’est pas pour déplaire aux sound system addict ! Massive a fi jump !

RUMORS
Marcus I est un songwriter prolifique, mais c’est surtout un chanteur qui sait reconnaître le potentiel tube dans un riddim encore frais. C’est exactement ce qui se passe lorsque, de passage au studio de Anti-Bypass, ce dernier lui fait écouter quelques dubs. En moins de temps qu’il n’en faut pour rembobiner, un refrain ravageur se fredonne, et un sound system anthem est né ! Et pour tous les amoureux de hardmix, le maître en la matière aka Anti-Bypass aux manettes délivre une pépite dub que beaucoup vont s’arracher ! Don’t Be late ! only 500 copies !
